Therapeutic process

Gestalt therapy has a broad spectrum of indications, primarily treating neurotic and psychosomatic disorders, personality disorders, and addiction problems in individual therapy, as well as couples whose relationships have stalled. Even if you are not currently under pressure from a specific problem, if you are looking for support on your further path of growth, as an individual or as a couple, you are welcome.

The process

“Try it out”

The first hour is about getting to know each other, about “sniffing each other out,” and about clarifying what brought you to me, where you are at the moment, and where you want to go.

If, after the first few sessions, you have decided to begin therapy with me, we will define your goals in more detail so that we can gain a clear understanding of your wishes and problems over time.

The further course

After these initial sessions, the actual work begins. It involves allowing the problem situation and possible positive alternatives to take shape in the moment, according to the Gestalt therapy credo of the here and now, in direct emotional expression. I utilize specific Gestalt therapy methods—such as "chair work," elements of art therapy, or body-experiential exercises—as well as psychoanalytic methods and approaches.
which are inspired by CG Jung's analytical psychology.

Emotional expression in the here and now is the ideal case of a Gestalt therapy situation, it is what the therapeutic process moves towards, although it is clear that this ideal case can sometimes be realized more, sometimes less.

There is no room for performance pressure here.
